Looking for a fun way to cut back on your use of plastics?
I hope you’ll join me for this!
Every year, I participate in Plastic Free July. It’s a global campaign to raise awareness about single-use plastics & to learn ways to reduce their use.
I love doing this challenge every year because it forces me to pay attention to single-use plastics in my life & to kick-start better habits.
Single-use plastic is one of those things that impacts not only our planet, but our health.
Right now, about 91% of our plastics are not recycled & plastic doesn’t go away. It just breaks down.
Ultimately, it ends up in our waterways + our food – which is why we all have micro-plastics in our bodies.
Endocrine-disrupting chemicals found in plastics contribute to our health – especially during perimenopause.
If you’ve been wanting to find ways to reduce your use of plastics, this is a great way to do it.
You can join the campaign directly. Millions of people participate in this effort every year. Just go to plasticfreejuly.org.
